The Purl Scout Sash

 THE PATTERN

Need a way to display all of those Purl Scout badges you’ve earned?  Now you can knit your own Purl Scout sash!

The Purl Scout Sash with badges on it

This sash is knit in the round as a long closed tube with tapered ends. Once knitting is complete, the angled ends of the tube are sewn together to create a closed loop.

This pattern is written for one size but can easily be adjusted by knitting a shorter or longer length. And best of all, this pattern is totally FREE!

THE YARN

And let's talk about that yarn!  This sash was knit up in some gorgeous naturally dyed yarn by Yarn Over Floyd!  Using rose mallow and walnut (both of which she grows at her house), she created this beautiful colorway "August Fog" -- a pale green with speckles of brown throughout.  We've had a bit of a drought in Virginia this past summer, so you can expect a little color variation with some skeins being slightly lighter or darker than what's pictured.  You can shop her yarn by clicking below!
